I met Donnie when I walked into 24 Hour Fitness on Pico Blvd. in Century City in 1999. I was looking for a job and I went to speak to the manager. Well, out comes Donnie and he greeted me with an easy smile and a few kind words. He said he'd give my resume a look and pass it on. I thought he was just being polite. I was surprised when I got a call a few days later

Well Donnie I just heard the sad news but knowing you I am betting you are on a wild ride through the heavens. You worked LA when I was working Orange County with 24 Hour Fitness. I always enjoyed chatting with you. No I never made it to that club I was asked to go to. Not sure LA could have handled us both back then. Either way My condolences kid you are well remembered .

Respectfully eternally

Donnie...Taught me so much to living life. He is one of those people to me that you reflect on alot. I think of Donnie alot and always have since he touched my life the day I went to work for him at 24 Hour fitness/Beverly Hills. To me Donnie was a true friend, leader, sponser, and mentor. He gave selflessly of himself to me to try and get me better with my personal struggles/demons, went way outside of the box.

My family and I are praying for you and your family to somehow find peace in all this. We're not supposed to bury our kids, and we don't suppose to know how it would affect us. We can only offer our love and support when it happens to someone we really care about. We are here for you, whatever you need.

Marlene,Dennis,Kelly,Denny,Dionne, So sorry for your loss.Donnie had the kind of spirit and energy that I will never forget. I have not seen Donnie in over 20 years. My memories of him will always be 360's on the stand up slide or his hours spent trying to hit that triple on the swings. With a crowd on shore cheering him on, of course. That guy could always make me laugh! Thinking of you all, The Jordans, Rick and Donique, Jimmy, Meagan, Justin,Lindsey Cody
