A Sister's Love
A sister's love never dies,
God, if my brother needs it,
take my breath from me.
If he needs my heart,
He's got it.
My soul wonders where this goes
all the love that he gave.
All the laughter that he made.
This soul is kind and giving.
There is only one of you.
I love my God for making you first.
He knew I needed you as a brother
so strong and loving.
When those gates open, they will
light the darkness and make it bright.
The angels will sing

Only God knows the true pain and suffering that you have endured for 38 years. Fighting diabetes on a daily basis through the usage of needles and medications. Through all of this, you never let it take control of your life. You had an accomplished career at Conagra and Albemarle County for almost 40 years. A successful marriage for 31 years with Linda, of which words can't describe her love, affection and steadfast support for you. There will always

God gives us grace and comfort in times like these. God also helps us to remember the good years we had together with Larkin. As I look back on Cody and my childhood years, Larkin and Linda played a huge role. Many wonderful memories and to mention a few are our many beach trips together, watching the first season of American Idol, to singing lots of songs with Larkin, but one song in particular that comes to mind is singing

Oh, please don't feel guilty
It was just my time to go.
I see you are still feeling sad,
And the tears just seem to flow.
We all come to earth for our lifetime,
And for some it's not many years.
I don't want you to keep crying,
You are shedding so many tears.
I haven't really left you,
Even though it may seem so.
I have just gone to my heavenly home,
And I'm closer to you than you know.
Just believe that when you say

It was an honor to have a brother n law like Larkin. Although I have known him for more than 20 years, the last 5 months of his illness, I came to love and respect him more. Watching his humble spirit as he was preparing to go home blessed my heart. He fought so hard to stay here with his family. He continued to care and love Linda, his family, friends and caregivers at the Transitional Hospital no matter how

You have been an inspiration in your strength and courage through such a long journey. I know your strength came from God. You and Larkin both are great examples of grace in suffering - always keeping a good disposition and sunny smile through it all. Larkin was a pleasure to visit - always brought a smile to me even though he was suffering. I appreciate our friendship and look forward to continued fellowship. You will be in my prayers and thoughts.
