Wow! I just found out today, after talking to a mutual friend, that Doug passed away almost a year ago. I am deeply saddened and shocked to hear of his passing. I'm so sorry for the lateness of this memory for Doug. I hadn't heard of his passing until a short while ago. I had the great pleasure of knowing Doug in the 70's and were even roommates for a short while. He was always there in times of stress - showing up to share our loss of our father. He was a great friend and will be sorely missed by so many that knew him and had the priviledge of his friendship. To Doug, you will be loved forever. Cheers my friend Patti

I am very saddened to hear of Doug's passing. I worked with Doug in the late 70's and have kept up with him sporadically since. He was always a very generous guy. I remember a Lobster boil at his place, him making Chinese dinner for 20 at my place, his always knowing the best Chinese restaurants in Calgary (and surely a good many other cities). He lived a life that was far from ordinary and always reminded me that there is always something new and different to do. I'll miss Doug. My condolances to his family. Linda Habiak

I was saddened to learn of Douglas' sudden death. I had the pleasure of working with him via phone through many years at Air Cargo Trader. The last time we communicated via email was in June. He was always a perfect gentleman. My God keep him by his side. My sincere sympathy to his family. Maria Linhares
