Memories & Candles
Rosie, thanks for being a lifelong friend of my Dad's. I'm sure you're both playing football and dating the ladies, wherever you are...
Posted by: Bryan Brodie - Denver, CO - Family friend Nov 14, 2012
Rosie and my dad Walt became buddies and football teammates while growing up together in Hopewell, VA. They remained lifelong friends until my father's death in January. I first met Rosie when I was a kid and visited him and Jeannie many times with my dad over the years. Rosie spoke at dad's memorial and shared some touching anecdotes drawn from their years of friendship and adventures together. He was so supportive to our family during that difficult time -

I will forever be grateful for childhood memories spent in Williamsburg with "Rosy". I admire his unique way of making you feel like family regardless of who you were.

Rosy was on the the finest business associates I have had the pleasure to work with. He was a man of his word with the utmost integrity. When Rosy said he was going to take care of something, you could count on it being done. He was always pleasant and a joy to be around.

Jeannie & Family,
We are so very sorry indeed in reading of Rosie's passing. We had no idea y'all were living in Williamsburg. We have a friend we visit there only a few miles from your home. I have never forgotten you & Rosie. Our deepest sympathy in your great loss. May God Almighty rest his soul in peace and be with you and yours as well, always.
With our love,
Doreen & Paul

In a lifetime, we receive many gifts but none as special as Rosy. He made it his mission to make everyone feel special. We are happy that our daughter, her husband and their children were fortunate enough to meet and spend some time with Rosy. The memory of this wonderful man will be with them forever. Our prayers are with Jeanne and family. Hopefully, your memories with Rosy will help ease your loss.
Love from Lynnie

Rosy was without a doubt one of greatest human beings I have had the privilege of knowing in my lifetime! Just an incredible individual! I had the luxury of both working with Rosy and to be acquainted with him as a friend! This planet is a little worse off now that Rosy has made heaven a little better. Lynnie and I offer our heartfelt condolences to Jeannie and the entire Takesian family. I just know Rosy is hanging with Mickey Mantle right now!

Rosy was an amazing man who had significant impact on my life. I worked for Rosy from 1993 to 1997 at Executone Information Systems. He pushed me to do my best and to never back down from a difficult situation, to face problems with dignity. He will be missed.
