Sorry to hear about Willie's passing. I cannot make the services because I have a bad chest cold. I never saw the bad side of Willie, if he had one. He was always upbeat and happy and we will miss him.

Dear Joe and Moreno Family, I'm so sad to hear of Willie's passing. Though I did not know him well, I do remember him coming to our school at some point and sharing his whistling with us. Joe, your family has always been so admired in our community. I pray for God's comfort for all,

My love and prayers are sent to the entire Moreno Family. I am so proud to have known Willie as a neighbor and playmate when we were young, and a friend and fellow Lee Band member in high school. I had not seen Willie in many years, but I know his great spirit and kindness will never be forgotten. God Bless you all.

We always loved it when Whistling Willie Moreno would grace our stage and perform the William Tell Overture or his latest piece he was practicing for the national whistling competition. Rest in Peace Willie.

Willie was so very talented as a singer and whistler. He was also talented in construction work, as I can attest to personally. It seems impossible that this upbeat guy is gone. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I'm so sorry to hear about Willie, Jr.'s death. He was a great friend/playmate in the Lakewood neighborhood. I have many great memories of our many kickball games at the Moreno house. Please tell Martha hello for me and that I'm so sorry for her loss. She should be very proud of the wonderful family she and Willie, Sr. raised. May God bless the Moreno family.

All who ever met Willie were enriched for having made his acquaintance. He was a man of nearly limitless talent and boundless good cheer, whose quick wit and warm smile would brighten anyone’s day. My condolences to the entire Moreno family for their loss, one that all who were privileged to know Willie also share.
