Memories & Candles
On behalf of Food For The Poor, Inc., we would like to extend our condolences and deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Loraine VanHoorn, who was a true friend of ours and of the poor whom we serve. Loraine’s support brought life-saving help and hope to the poorest of the poor, which is a legacy to be honored. We pray for God's peace and comfort to be with Loraine’s loved ones during this time of separation. Sincerely, The Planned Giving Department, Food For The Poor, Inc. www.foodforthepoor.com/plannedgiving

Aunt Loraine was a vry nice lady. I am glad I shared with her at a Restaurant in Stockbridge last August. She will watch for all her children, grand children and great-grand children, from above. I met her while I was at Lorena and Robert Hemauer´s family in New Holstein as an AFS student in 1966-67.

My sympathies to the entire VanHoorn family. Loraine was a very sweet woman who always took the time to say 'Hello' and ask how we were doing. Cherish all of the sweet memories I'm sure she has left with each of you. Gloria

We are sorry for the loss of your mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was such a sweet and kind little lady, and those features certainly live on in her kids and grandkids. It warms my heart to know how special she thought our little Collin was, and that she wanted to spend time with him when "Janny Nanny" was babysitting. She was called to heaven to guide the little children there.....God must have told her there was a "baby alert."
May fond memories of Loraine brighten your days ahead.

Words cannot express how our family will miss our gramma Loraine. What a big part she played in our and especially the Piper boys lives. She has a special place in our heart forever. She lived a life that I always told her I hope to have someday. We are so sorry for your loss.
