Mrs, Mercedes will be dearly missed!
I grew up on Washington St. and as a child we played hide and go seek a lot and one of our favorite places to hide was in her flowers. She would hollar at us to stay out of her flower bed! But for some reason I think she made the flower bed bigger for us to hide in!
An Angel is resting!

We will miss this precious jewel in our lives. But we know that God has given her a crown with more jewels that we could ever imagine. Patricia, Sister Johnson touched our lives in so many ways and we thank God for her.

Patricia and Family, you have been blessed with love from an amazing woman of strength, dedication, and passion. Her guidance encouraged you to reach for the stars and her belief in you was boundless! Nana's nurturing and life have spanned decades, generations, and socio-economic and racial boundaries. For the people she touched, Phyllis Johnson will always remain a role model. Her sayings ("Cakes are done and people are finished") and her Christmas cookies remain fond memories. Patricia, may you be

Nana, what wonderful, beautiful woman. She has touched a lot of lives even if you didnot know her personally, from her family and for me from her granddaughter Mrs. Patricia Closson and having met Nana just once, you are touched by her spiritually and that is the Blessing of knowing or knowing of God's Soldier Phyllis Mercedes Johnson "Nana". Rest in Peace and thanks for the wonderful spirit of love that you Left for all.

God Bless,

Patricia
Your Grandma was a very special person as was your Mom. I am so glad that I got to know both of them. You are very blessed to have your own 2 angels looking out for you during this Christmas season.

God Bless You
