John Crawford Obituary

I was so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He always had a funny comment or banter that I remember all those years ago. Wishing you peace and happy memories.

To the Crawford family: I'm sorry to hear of John's passing. I couldn't make it to the service but please know you have been in my thoughts and prayers. I worked for John and Neva at Jack & Jill in Washington when I was in high school. They were some of nicest people I've ever worked for. May you find comfort in the days ahead. Fred

Our fondest memories are when John & Neva were here in Dwight?. We had the greatest social group anywhere. Edie and I, Jerry and Bonnie Howland, Janie and Larry Wilkey had great fun together. RIP John. Edith's and my prayers go out to his family. God be with you.

I'll always remember John's energy. On one shopping trip several years ago, Angie and I could not keep up with John as he flew through one of the local "big box" stores. By the time we caught up to him, he had picked up all the items on his list and was ready to head back to the car.

Thinking of Teresa, Angie, Cheryl and families during this difficult time. I will always remember the good times I had of going to Demon Football games with Teresa, John and Neva. I remember John always standing at the fence watching the games. The many many Sunday trips to Lake Odessa in the summer and learning to water ski and many others. Keep all the memories close to your heart.

John and I had many wonderful times together in our younger years. He would dirve to Clarence looking for girls and I would advise who was available. He was always a very hard worker. He delivered papers and worked in grocery when he was a kid. Managed several grocery stores in Dwight IL, Peroria IL as well as Mt Pleasant and Washinton IA> He would rise early 4AM to meet bread and milk trucks at his stores. Put in 70 hours or more a week. I wil miss him.

I'm sorry to hear of John's passing. His daughters and entire family are in my thoughts. I worked for John for 2 years and feel as if I've lost a family member and friend of my own. I'm certain he's up there playing golf and having a good 'ole time :) Rest in peace John, I'll hold the memories in my heart forever.

Sorry to miss John 's service as I am out of state. Have many fond memories of time spent with John and Neva many years ago. He was a great guy and would help anyone.
