Mr. John R. Short, Jr. Obituary

I have many fun memories with John. Growing up in a small community, everyone is family. I am sorry I could not make the trip for the service, but be sure you are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

We were so sorry to hear of Johns passing. He was such a nice guy. I just seen him during the holidays and was glad that I got to chat with him and wish him well. We have known John for many years and will cherish the memories. God Bless you all during this difficult time.

We would like to express our deepest sympathy over the loss of John. I myself considered John one of my friends and we enjoyed fishing and hunting together. I am very sad over his passing at such a young age.
I pray for you all to find peace and strength!

John 16:22
22 So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.
In his Grip,
Stan Felix

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of John's passing. He was a classmate of mine at JHS, and I remember he always had a smile on his face. Our classmates called him "shorty" :) My condolences to his children and family members. May your find comfort in the memories that you had made over the years, and may God help you through this difficult time.

Jack, Debbie, Scott and Eric –

I don’t know where to even begin with my memories of John or as we think of him – “John John.” John John and Scottie were the sweet little boys living next door to me when I grew up. The adorable kids that we helped get on the bus on those first scary

Although I loved swapping stories about hunting and fishing with John what I will miss most is his winning smile. It was always either on his face or just under the surface waiting to burst through. John was unique, for certain, but his smile tied him to everyone he ever met. Last night Julie and I were looking through old pictures of my Winona years. At first I cried but lhen I smiled. John would have liked knowing that we were able to share still another smile together.
