did anyone ever dub you "the general"? i was just thinking recently of how that would be so appropo...at least from when i knew you in high school. you were the (barely) older, wiser, seriouser, keep-em-in their place type. YET, i remember in "robin hood" you were my fiance, and i was kidnapped, and when we were reunited, it was always the best scene for me because i got to run into your bear-hug embrace and you'd spin me around, smiling. tender...what teenage girl wouldn't want to be me then? : ). acting or not!

I am happy that I got to come home to say goodbye but I didn't think I'd have to do that for a long, long time. You always made time for me when I visited no matter how last minute it was. I miss you now and always.

I have never met anybody with your caliber of humor. I choose to remember the times we laughed til we cried! You were there for me when I was down and out, I am still shook up by the tragic loss of kind hearted riv. They broke the mold when they made you, because you my friend were one of a kind

There is a special bond between a father and a son. You and I had that Chris. From the time you were a little boy you loved being with me and doing things together. As you grew up that bond got stronger. Whether is was traveling together, walking in the mall, playing trivia games, sitting in front of the T V watching a couple hours of recorded Jeopardy or just being together in silence. We were competative but it was

I am forever blessed each day that I walk into work (Parma Hospital) and stand at the very spot you and I surprised each other, out of the blue, and hugged and smiled widely as we both took in the wonderment of that chance-meet. I remember texting my son Chris as fast as I could to send him the news! In our family, any of my children's cherished friends were considered "family" to us, and Riv, I am telling you
