Just wanted to send my condolences the entire family for the loss of Anthony Carbone earlier this month. I was new to the Clearwater, Florida area back in 1992 – 1993 and had the privilege of meeting his daughter Josephine who was the manager of the Holiday Inn Surf-side located on Clearwater Beach where I used to work. In my short time that I resided I there, I had the privilege of being introduced to her family and I was able to share a few Sunday sauce / dinners Italian style and I still to this day remember how incredible delicious the meals were that Mr. Carbone whipped up. Wow!!! Though my time was short with the family, I remember a funny story about when Mr. Carbone was trying to perfect the “poached egg” in the microwave, it took numerous eggs and a lot of button pressing, if my memory serves me correct, I remember his beautiful wife asking him if he was sending mores code from all the button pressing. After numerous attempts, he finally go the egg to where he wanted it. Anyways, to make a long story short, I remember the cat and 2 dogs 9 Doberman & Chow ) were all sitting patently with their eyes glued to him and his every move in the kitchen just hoping & waiting for the egg "Pop" and see who would get to eat the "Popped poached egg." Anyways, just wanted to say once again that I am so sorry for your loss and that I am forever grateful for you and your entire family who helped me when I was new to the area without family or friends and you welcomed me in. I still have fond memories of those time s long ago. I heart goes out to you all. Jim
