Memories & Candles
My uncle John, I truly feel blessed to have been your nephew and I will always treasure our little chats.
You definitely left your mark on this earth and I'm positive you have been welcomed in the kingdom of heaven.
I will miss you.
Jeff

Dr. Bowen was a very kind Christian, and he always picked me and my family up to take us to church every Sabbath in Maryville, Tennessee since I was nine years old.
I remember his mother in law, Mrs. D. Rhodes and his wife, Dusty, with fondness.

A giant of a Christian man that I have always looked up to. Dusty and I taking a ride to Gatlinberg & sharing of her wisdom. Hamilton taking my two kids and me to get a Cedar for our Christmas tree one year. When the trumpet blows, we will get to see John again and will praise God throughout eternity for His Grace.

I am very sorry to hear about Dr. Bowen's passing. He was a devoted friend to our family, especially to my Father and Mother, Don and Bobbie Garner of Louisville. Our families were neighbors for many, many years in Louisville. He and "Dusty" were there for my sisters, brother, and me when our parents passed away. I can remember their boys, Hamilton and Jackson, and my brother, Eddie, playing together in the summers of their youth. My heart and prayers

Liebe Trauerfamilie
Kein Trostwort ist so stark,
den großen Schmerz zu mindern.
Gott und die Zeit allein
vermoegen ihn zu lindern.
Seien Sie unseres Mitgefuehls versichert.

Our deepest sympathy to the family members. We have been friends with Harvey and Dusty for many year. We knew Harvey back in Loma Linda and White Memorial days and have wonderful memories. May God give the family strength and comfort at this time of grieving. We will miss Harvey and his energetic smile. Special "Hugs" to Dusty.
