Shared many dinners and visits over the years with my great friends John and Betty. He will be sorely missed. What a great gentleman, husband and father.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family.jnIY8

I remember going to John's and Betty's for Thanksgiving in the 1970s. The men would go hunting (or to see who could tell the tallest tale) and the women would be preparing the feast. Those times will be cherished because of the fun and laughter we had. I loved John's dry sense of humor. My deepest sympathies go to the Bowen family. John will be greatly missed.

Deepest sympathies to the family. Want to mention that 2 years ago Christmas time, Dr. Bowen let us cut a few cedar trees from his property across the street from their lovely home for our church Christmas party. He drove us in his old truck (or jeep) because it was muddy. He was so gracious and kind and generous. I was shocked to hear of his passing on Sabbath morning in church. He will be sadly missed by many in our beautiful little Maryville church - which he was so greatly involved.

Uncle John was a very caring man. He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace, your Niece Mary Beth
