MOORE, MILDRED S. was born July 10, 1915 in the Wheatland Community of Dallas County. She is preceded in death by her father, Walter Richard Spain in 1938; her mother, Pearl Spillers Spain in 1975; and her husband, L. Ronald (Red) Moore in 2000. Mr. Moore was a long time employee of Dallas Transit
Company (now known as DART). Mildred was enrolled in the Cradle Class of the Wheatland United Methodist Church founded in 1847, when she was three months old. Mildred was a member of Ridgewood United Methodist Church in Dallas. She attended the University of Texas in Austin and as a student worked in LBJ's office. She later attended TWU in Fort Worth. She worked for the Dallas Transit Company and the last 15 years of her work life was with DISD in the Wheatland area. Mildred is survived by her extended family, Stan and Becky Luckie of Garland, Texas; D.O. and Betty Luckie of Dallas, Texas; and Tony and Roberta Luckie of New Port Richey, Florida. She will be missed. The service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Please no flowers. Donate to the charity of your choice.
