Memories & Candles
Don and Family,
Thelma was a beautiful woman. My realationship with her, although way too short, was filled with smiles, laughter, and love.
I am so happy and honored to have had the chance to meet Thelma.
I loved her and will miss her deeply.
Warm Regards,
Carol Penta

Mrs. Mazmanian was my 5th grade teacher at 5th Ave. School in Woonsocket RI. That was many, many years ago. However, I've never forgotten and in fact always look back upon those days as nothing short of life-changing. Mrs. Mazmanian's energy and love of life and learning changed forever the way I thought about school and life, even at that that young age. I'm happy to learn that she was so successful with her life and family, however that comes as no surprise. May you rest in peace. I will never forget you...and I thank you.

I will always remember Mrs. Perry for being that one teacher who you could go to for anything. She was not only welcoming of her own students, but of all students. Her kind heart and continuous smile made her a welcome sight outside of the reading room. I enjoyed sitting with her and listening to stories told by Marty the Martian and remember always leaving her room feeling loved. I will always remember you Mrs. Perry. You will always be a special part of my elementary school years and the fond memories I have of DBO.

May you be comforted by the words of many who loved Thelma Perry. We wer graced with her kind, loving, bubbly personality. Thelma always knew just what to say to each child that made them never want to leave her classroom. When you would see her walk down the hallway with that beautiful smile, stop and hug each child....everyone wanted to be in Mrs. Perry's class. She was truly the teacher everyone wanted their child in her classroom. So many

Mrs. Perry was by far the best teacher that has ever taught me. I am thankful to have had her as a mentor and my friend. Its amazing that a person can influence ones (or in this case many) life in such a way to keep moving past challenges that arise in life. Mrs. Perry wasn't only a teacher, she was a life coach that inspired motivation to her students that seemed out of place in school.

To the Family of Thelma Perry:
May the repose of your beloved Mother's soul be eternal. My children attended the O'Brien School in Rockaway, New Jersey. My sons Michael and George have wonderful memories of your Mother's love for children and how she sparked the love of learning.
All the children of DBO were blessed to have such a wonderful teacher in their primary grades. Her influence will go on for infinity.

I was a student at DBO in Rockaway during my childhood. By the second grade I started to fall behind in math and reading. By third grade I had fallen far enough behind that my teacher arranged to have me go to the Learning Center where Mrs. Perry was my reading tutor. Within two years I was caught up to my classmates and by the time I reached high school I was taking college placement classes.
I have completed college

Mrs. Perry you were such an amazing and wonderful person! You were patient, kind and always a cheerleader for so many children. You touch my life and my heart and I can only hope that you knew how deeply loved you were. So often through the years I have wondered about you, told my children about the most amazing teacher that I had and remebered you and your amazing smile. I am so sad to know that you have left

Mrs. Perry and her wonderful puppet Marty the Martian and forever in my heart! She taught me how to read and write. She spent countless hours helping me and molding me into the woman and teacher I am today. Everyday part of her guides me in my classroom making sure I am as wonderful to my students as she was to me. Forever in my heart Mrs. Perry. Thank you for everything. I am so glad we stayed in contact all these years!
