My heart is broken. Please accept my deepest condolences and know that God loves you and can restore your spirits, give you peace, and strengthen you. The time we have spent with those we have lost makes them part of us. Joe will remain in our hearts, safe and untouched. Loss of someone near and dear to us is unbearable. Nothing I can say will lessen your pain. I just want you know that you mean a great deal to me, I love you and that I am available for you. Feel a hug.

Joe:

I enjoyed the pheasant hunt with you last month, as I have these past 15 years. I will miss those trips to Smithville to shoot clay targets with you too. Those memories will be with me forever.

My dear friend...my heart is breaking for you in the loss of your dear husband Joe. You were always a favorite of mine at work but when you became pregnant with Carina, our relationship grew to be a wonderful friendship...one that I have always treasured. After Carina was born and started spending a lot of time at your house, I got to know Joe as well. What a terrific guy! Great husband, wonderfully loving father, good friend to all who knew him. I am taking comfort in the fact that he can resume his loving relationship with that darling, curly haired girl who looked so much like her daddy! Much love, Bonny

Joe was my brother Greg's friend, and over the years I was able to get to know Joe well enough to consider him my friend as well. I had the privilege of spending quite a bit of time with Joe at holiday get togethers, parties, rafting trips, golf outings, and many other activities. I will always remember Joe for his larger-than-life personality, and will miss him. Our prayers are with you Ann and your family.

Joe was one of those friends that you will cherish forever. You wanted to be with him always. His smile and laugh would light up your darkest day. He was someone you looked forward to being around and spending time with. His selflessness and love for others was unending. I will miss him dearly, as will all that we're blessed with ever knowing him. I will think of him always and see his smile and hear his special laugh. I pray that he is playing with his little Carina and standing with our Lord in His Kingdom.

I watched Joe grow up as a neighbor and best friend of my son, Greg. They knew each other since elementary school. He was always so full of life and such fun. I am really sad about his death. Joe got a tough break in life with many years of suffering as he bravely fought his persistent illness.
I know he is pain-free and resting in a better place now.
