Joseph Allen Richards, age 22, of Atlanta, IN died February 1, 2013 as a result of a vehicle accident in Tipton County. He was born August 19, 1990 at Noblesville, IN to Billy Eugene Richards and Christine Marie (Straley) Richards.

He was a graduate of Hamilton Southeastern High School with the Class of 2010. During his high school years he was on the wresting and football teams. He was an alumni of the Future Farmers of America and a 10 Year 4-H member. Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle.

He was employed at Martin-Marietta Aggregates Company and attended Fellowship Baptist Church at Noblesville, IN.

He married Meghan Lynn (Peterson) Richards on March 24, 2012. She survives him as well as his son, Karson Bo Richards. Additional survivors include his father: Billy Eugene (Annette) Richards of Noblesville, IN, his mother: Christine Marie Straley, brothers: Justin McDonald of Noblesville, IN and Terell Eugene Richards of Phoenix, AZ, sisters: Melissa Marie Heaton of Noblesville, IN and Monica Annmarie Richards of Noblesville, IN.

Additional survivors include his grandparents: Gene and Shirley Richards of Tipton, IN, Toni Richards of Noblesville, IN, Pat and Kent House of Noblesville, IN, Gary and Jerry Straley of Brown County, IN, and Phyllis McDonald of Noblesville, IN and a great-grandmother: Martha Richards of Tipton, IN.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 8, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Pastor Jeff Young officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Baptist Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Karson Bo Richards Educational Fund, Encompass Credit Union, P.O. Box 100, Tipton, IN 46072. You may share a memory or send condolences at
