Bobby Lee Meadows
Bobby Lee Meadows 71, of Slab Fork went to his eternal rest on November 20, 2012 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born August 14, 1941 he was the son of the late Carl and Reba Sizemore Meadows.
Bobby lived most of his life in Slab Fork. He was a coal miner for 32 years and was a member of the UMWA. Bobby loved being outdoors especially camping on the Greenbrier.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years Geraldine Meadows of Slab Fork. His son, Roy Lee Meadows and his wife Sherri of Beckley. His daughter Tammy Keaton and husband Roger of Hotchkiss. His grandchildren Heather Hensley Keaton, Kristen Meadows Day and her husband Charles, Tavie Haga and her husband Ryan, His great-grandchildren "Paw Paw's girl" Ally Nicole Day, Courtney and Tyler Haga and Zachery Dale Keaton. His best friend and younger brother Carlos Privett, and his wife Malinda, his three sisters Darella Neal, and Mae Gillenwater and her husband Tommy, Cormel Perdue and husband Oscar and a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm Friday November 23, 2012 in the Lilly-Crews cemetery, Nimitz. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from Noon until 1:00pm Friday at the Williams-Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Sophia.
