Heath, Brett William, 48 of Ocala, passed away suddenly on January 23, 2013, of heart failure and pneumonia. He is now at peace with his Creator. Brett was born in Binghamton, NY on September 26, 1964, also living in Great Bend, PA on the Susquehanna River, until he moved to Ocala in 1974, making him an Ocala resident for 38 years......Brett is survived by his loving Mother, Gail Walker, Ocala; Sister, Cindy Heath-Neu, Palm Coast; Loyal employee and friend of 12 years, Herbert Treasure, Ocala; and the love of his life and best friend of 28 years, Debra Flanagan, Ocala...........Brett was an Irrigation Contractor with 30 years experience in his field, who along with Debra opened his own company in March 1997. Brett took great pride in his work and had very high business standards, ethics and values. **Brett was old school!**........Brett will be truly missed and remembered by his customers, some of whom he built lasting friendships with over many years.............Brett was Debra's first and only husband, being married in formal attire yet barefoot :) on the dock at HorseShoe Lake, June 13, 1999. We cooked our Wedding Dinner for our guests, using food grown from our garden :).....Brett loved animals, having many "animal children" with Debra since 1990. Brett and Debra shared a deep spiritual connection with Nature. He was an avid hiker, gardener, fisherman, camper, veggie, herb and fruit tree farmer, and loved Mother Earth news and Countryside magazines. Brett's most special Nature connection was with trees, especially Grandfather Oaks.......Brett was a huge football fan (Go Jets!) and in between commercials or game times he played Madden Football on Playstation. He also loved good rock-n-roll, muscle cars and big trucks, flying, boating, and reading...........................Please share your memories and thoughts here; In leau of flowers, please make donations to "Save The Redwoods"...............Please call 352-304-6981 for information on Brett's Private Celebration of Life Tribute date and time. Thank you and God Bless!
