Carroll Cunningham Wilson died on Sunday, November 18 at her home. Carroll was born September 12, 1913 in Downs, Alabama to William Roger Cunningham and Lucy Randle Cunningham. She was the wife of the late Alfred Truitt Wilson. Carroll is preceded in death by her son, Alfred Wharton Wilson. She is survived by her daughters Carroll Wilson Suggs (the late Robert Leslie Suggs) and Harriett Wilson Balart (Luis Antonio Balart) and her daughter-in-law Susan Starr Wilson; grandchildren Carroll (Paul), Robert (Eugenie), Frank, Helen (Preston), Leslie (John), Price, Etienne (Kate), Truitt (Meredith), Carter (Dena) and Anne (Wes); and 23 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank her devoted team of care givers who made her last years so happy – Jacqueline Diaz, Kathy Clay, Marylee Tunson and Eva Smoots. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Martin's Episcopal Church or to the charity of your choice. Funeral services will be held at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 2216 Metairie Rd. Metairie, La. 70001 on Friday at 3:00 PM, visitation at 2:00 PM. The burial will be private.
