FAY RICHARDS, CPA
Former Controller of CHF International, died on May 30, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Georgetown, Guyana, Fay migrated to the USA to further her studies in languages at Howard University. After graduation, she decided to pursue a new career in accounting. She enrolled in Georgetown University and graduated with an MS in accounting. She subsequently earned her certification as a CPA.
An avid reader and seeker of knowledge, Fay was a dedicated member of her book club, "Sages on Pages". Fay enjoyed many hobbies and traveled widely. Fay is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ian and two children, Kareem Yohance and Rasheeda Aliya and one grandchild Ava Rose. A memorial service will be held at the Hines - Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 8, 2012. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent in Fay's name to the Cancer Institute at the Washington Hospital Center, 110 Irving Street NW, Washington DC 20010, Attn: Dr. Charles Boice/For charity.
