FAY RICHARDS, CPA

Former Controller of CHF International, died on May 30, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Georgetown, Guyana, Fay migrated to the USA to further her studies in languages at Howard University. After graduation, she decided to pursue a new career in accounting. She enrolled in Georgetown University and graduated with an MS in accounting. She subsequently earned her certification as a CPA.
An avid reader and seeker of knowledge, Fay was a dedicated member of her book club, "Sages on Pages". Fay enjoyed many hobbies and traveled widely. Fay is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ian and two children, Kareem Yohance and Rasheeda Aliya and one grandchild Ava Rose. A memorial service will be held at the Hines - Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 8, 2012. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent in Fay's name to the Cancer Institute at the Washington Hospital Center, 110 Irving Street NW, Washington DC 20010, Attn: Dr. Charles Boice/For charity. In the all too brief time that I came to know Fay, I knew her as a dedicated and committed colleague, erudite and learned, and esteemed by her fellow co-workers. I have admired the strength she demonstrated in her battle for her life. I wish her husband, children, and extended family similar strength in coping with their loss and dealing with the fact that she has been taken from us far too early. Please know you have my deepest sympathies, and that you are in both my thoughts and my heart at this difficult time.

We will miss you Fay.

May God comfort and bless your family during this time of grief and sorrow.

We must all remeber Fay in a positive lite. The happiness, joy and love she shared with every person who knew her. Without a doubt Fay was truly one of a kind. Fay gave until she could no longer give.

Fay is now with the supreme being God no more suffering just peach and happiness. Fay accomplished what she was put on earth to do, spread happiness.

We will see you again Fay.
