George Daniel Templeton III (Dan) was born on March 23, 1954 in Warren, Pennsylvania. He led a very full life as a husband, father, and business owner before passing away suddenly at the age of 58, on Sunday, November 25, 2012 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. His strong work ethic started at an early age as a paper carrier and dedicated Boy Scout. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout and later served as an adult Scout leader. He graduated from Warren Area High School in 1972 and continued on to Alleghany College where he received his Bachelor of Science in chemistry. He continued to collect degrees, earning a PhD from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from the University of Tulsa. After moving to Fort Wayne, Dan was very active in the soccer community as a volunteer, coach, and referee. He was also an involved member of the Covenant United Methodist Church. He enjoyed a long career with Therma Tru Corp, leaving the company in 2004 as the Vice President of Technology to start his own company, AmerIPatent LLC. At the time of his passing he was a patent agent at Brooks Kushman of Detroit, Owner and CEO of Aptimise and Plastic Composite Company of Fort Wayne, and Region 9 Director of the American Society of Quality. He leaves behind his wife Cheryl (Walling) after 36 years of marriage, daughters Sarah (Kevin) Templeton-Wilson of Cincinnati and Allison Templeton of Fort Wayne, and son Glen Templeton of Fort Wayne as well as future son-in-law Aaron Washington.
