James Huckaby, Jr. was born October 7, 1956, in Dallas, Texas. He was one of six children born to the late James Huckaby, Sr. and Johnnie Huckaby. He professed his faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized. On Thursday, December 20, 2012, God called His servant home. James received his formal education in the Dallas Public School System and graduated from Roosevelt High School. James was employed with Texas Instruments for over 30 years. He also worked with Frito Lay and Fleming and Pro-Jan Services.
James fell in love with Paula Waites in 1981 and they were united in marriage in 1987. They are the proud parents of Ja'Quinta and Christopher Huckaby.
James touched many lives, as only he could, and he leaves a legacy of love. He was preceded in death by his father, James Huckaby, Sr.; his mother, Johnnie Huckaby; and his brothers, Donald Hallum and Ronald Huckaby.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of twenty-four years, Paula W. Huckaby; three children, Ja'Quinta , Christopher, and Julius Jason Huckaby; a grandson; sisters, Carrie Johnson and Kathryn Huckaby; brother, Randy Huckaby; four aunts; one uncle; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
