Jimmie "Jim" Wade Parnell, age 65, born April 14, 1947, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Parnell was a resident of Jackson, AL. He was a Millwright with Boise Cascade Paper Mill. Mr. Parnell was a member of Tompkins Baptist Church. His hobbies were his Grandchildren, Nascar, hunting and fishing and he was an avid Alabama Football fan, as well as local sports fan including the Jackson Aggies and JA Eagles.

Son/ Andy "Bud" (Amy) Parnell of Jackson, AL

Daughter/ Shea Hutto of Jackson, AL

Brothers/ Harry (Doris) Parnell of Semmes, AL

Grandchildren/ Brylon Goodman, Madison Parnell and Zoe Hutto

Visitation will be Friday, February 15, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Lathan Funeral Home, Jackson, AL. Service will be Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at Tompkins Baptist Church, with Rev. Johnny Kendrick officiating . Mr. Parnell will lie in state one hour prior to the Service. Interment will be in Trinity Memorial Gardens. An online guestbook may be signed at
