John "Jack" David Graham, 83, passed away from complications of heart surgery on Wednesday, June 8, 2011. He was second oldest of six children, born July 16, 1927 to David and Loretta Graham. Jack attended Leo High School and served in the US Army during the Allied Power occupation of Japan. Jack married Joan Jodlowski in 1959 and together they raised six children in Hickory Hills, Illinois. Jack was employed by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation for nearly forty years until his retirement in 1988. Avid gardeners, swimmers and outdoor lovers, Joan and Jack moved to Port Charlotte in 1989 where they enjoyed the beautiful warm weather. Jack will be greatly missed by his children, David, Karen (Michael), Margaret, Ellen, John and Elizabeth; grandchildren, John and Claire; sisters Lorraine and Elinore; many nieces and nephews and his dear companion, Hazel Olenych. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan. A memorial service to celebrate Jack's life will be 11:00 am, Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
