Devoted son of Lee and Valerie Spatz (nee Bender), also survived by his son Joseph Michael Merlino, Jr and his mother Steffanie Mendez, loving brother of Samantha Bebb, and Brandon Spatz, dear grandson of Harry Bender and Myrna Ruby.
