Beloved son, brother, and friend, Kyle Harper Elliott, 19, of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed away on Friday, November 30.

Born in Ft. Campbell, June 30, 1993, to Kent and Pamela Elliott, Kyle had an infectious smile and sky blue eyes that melted hearts and warmed the soul.

Kyle moved from Seattle, Washington to the Williamsburg area as a young boy. According to his teachers, Kyle immediately made an impact at Matthew Whaley Elementary by being a friend to all. Possessing a personality that was welcoming and non-judgmental, Kyle always had a kind word to say about anyone he encountered. This ability to find the positive in people was one of his many endearing qualities.

Wrestling for Jamestown High School and playing lacrosse for the Williamsburg Warriors were some of Kyle's best times. He truly loved the camaraderie with his teammates. After high school, Kyle worked hard to get accepted and attend VMI, where he thrived in the camaraderie of his Brother Rats. To all of his friends and mates, Kyle's family appreciates your support and friendship with our son.

Kyle's grandest accomplishment was as a son and brother. You always loved to stir the pot and you thrived in the excitement it caused. We will miss our dinner conversations, Nerf wars, and spit ball fights. From your place in the Lord's House, please guide and protect your brothers. They will need your love.

Kyle is survived by his parents, Pamela and Kent; stepfather, Mike Hurley; Kent's fiancé, Joan Mountain; brothers, Shawn, Brian, Connor and Liam; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Dotty Healy and paternal grandparents, Kent and Nancie Elliott; his uncle, Tim Healy and his kids, Joe and Tyler; uncle and aunt, Josh and Kim Elliott and their kids, Hannah, Joshua III, Helen, and Emma; uncle and aunt, Dave and LeGrand Pound and their kids, Haley, Madison, and LeGrand.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Kyle Elliott memorial fund at Sun Trust. The fund will purchase a memorial brick for Kyle to be placed with his classmates' Class of 2016 brick. The balance will be then donated in his name to assist a VMI Rat (freshman) with travel funds. A viewing is scheduled for Friday, December 7 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg. The funeral Mass will be offered at St. Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Rd., Williamsburg, on Saturday, December 8 at 11:00 AM. Online condolences may be expressed at www.nelsencares.com.

"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
as long as I'm living
my baby you'll be."
(Robert Munsch)
