Lawrence Blu Velasquez, 35, of Soledad, passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada, Sunday, January 20, 2013. Lawrence was born January 22, 1977 in San Francisco and had been a lifelong resident of Soledad. He attended Gonzales High School and was employed in construction. He is survived by his son, Ethan Lawrence Velasquez of Soledad; parents, Arthur & Priscilla Velasquez of San Jose; 4 siblings, Sidney Velasquez of Sante Fe, New Mexico, Vanessa Velasquez of San Diego, Artie (Nicole) Velasquez of San Jose, Christina Velasquez of San Jose; grandfather, Arturo Velasquez of Soledad; newborn niece, Callie Velasquez of San Jose; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Memorial contributions in Lawrence's name may be made to "Honoring the life of Lawrence Blu" at Fundrazr.com.
