Akron once again became their home until 1959 when Lucy, Carl and two young daughters moved to Phoenix, Arizona. There another daughter and a son were born. Carl and Lucy have enjoyed residing in Arizona for 53 years. During this time Lucy was busy raising and keeping up with four children as well as being the impetus for Carl to complete his educational degrees. She became very active in the Ladies Guild at St. Louis the King Catholic Church. Lucy enjoyed being a stay at home mom. When the family started to grow, Lucy always enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lucy is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, Carl, Peoria, AZ., three children Madeline (Dave) Yakubchak, Seattle, WA, Angela (Leon) Bowers, Clarkdale, AZ, Christopher (Cathy) Beisecker, Lake Montezuma, AZ and son-in-law Mark Saunders, Glendale, AZ.
