MARIE E. BURKE
Marie E. Burke, 87, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Rehab Center of
Independence. Graveside services will be at 12 PM Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at
Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Marie was born in Kansas City and has lived in this area most of her life. She worked
as a surgical nurse at Independence Sanatorium for several years before leaving
to work in area nursing homes. Marie was preceded in death by her son, Johnny
Burke. Survivors include her brother and his wife, Bob and Rose George; a
sister, Donna Vanderepool; 5 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and
nieces and nephews.
