Marilyn passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on January 20, 2013, after a long and determined battle with cancer. She was born Marilyn Victoria Sprouls on January 3rd,1936 in Alberta, Minnesota. Her parents, Maren Victoria and Lee Sprouls plus one sibling, Duane, preceded her in death. She is survived by six siblings. Marilyn fell in love with Darrell Fredrick Kirwin and they were married December 28th 1957. They settled near family in Morris, a small community in west central Minnesota. The couple was blessed with three children, Patricia Ann, Tracy Ann and Steven William. Their retirement years have been spent divided between Glenwood, Minnesota and Sun City Arizona. Marilyn leaves behind her long time husband of 55 years, Darrell, her three children, 13 grand children and many, many dear friends. Memorials are requested given in Marilyn's name to the American Cancer Society where she was an active supporter for many years, www.cancer.org/involved/donate/donateonlinenow/index. A Celebratory Mass will be held in Minnesota at a later date.
