Merle Marie Gallo passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at the age of 70. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she had touched in some way throughout her life. She was the cherished wife of 43 years to Joseph W. Gallo. Loving mother of Trudy Gallo, Tate Gallo (Dianah) and Clint Gallo. Daughter of the late Agnes Blanchard and Alcide Boudreaux. Sister of Jeanette Karl (Bobbie), Ray Boudreaux (Rita) and the late Yvonne Bienvenue, Bert, Curtis, Floyd and Thomas Boudreaux. Proud grandmother of Kaylin and Kylie. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Merle was well loved and will be deeply missed by her family and by all those whose lives she touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend an evening visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, December 20th from 6:00PM – 9:00PM, and again on Friday morning from 9:30AM – 10:30AM. A Funeral Mass in memory or Merle will take place at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA on Friday morning beginning at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society at 800-227-2345 or
