Age 57, born December 12, 1954 was the son of the late Amanda Berry Selth and George Lewis, and was raised by his beloved step-father, the late Charles Selth. Mr. Berry departed this life peacefully on Fri., Nov., 2nd in Dover, DE. Affectionately called "Mooch" by many, was a graduate of DeLaWarr HS. Nathan retired from New Castle County Government after 30 years of service. Nathan was very active in the New Castle community and devoted his life to the Holloway Terrace Volunteer Fire Dept., where he was a lifetime member and the first african american to join. Mr. Berry was also an avid bowler and pool player who played on several bowling billard leagues throughout the community. Nathan was also a little leaque umpire for over 30 years. Nathan will be lovingly missed by his wife of 18 years, Tashel; daughter, Shakeya (KiKi); goddaughter, Ayrashae Sheridan; devoted sisters, Joyce Miller, Joan Hunter (Charles), Evelyn Selth, and Nancy Lewis; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Margaret and Edward Watson; one brother-in-law, Jamar Watson (Deja); one uncle, Charles Berry (Jean); two aunts, Phyllis and Hazel Berry, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral, Sat., Nov. 10th, 9am at Ezion Fair Baptist Church, 1400 B. Street, Wilm, DE 19801. Viewing 8-9am. Burial, Gracelawn Memorial Park. In leiu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Holloway Terrace Volunteer Fire Dept.
