ORRIN H. "STUB" PIBBLES, age 86 years, of Rollin, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013, surrounded by his family at his home. He was born on October 5, 1926, on the family farm in Hillsdale County, Michigan, the son of Harland James and Ruth Hazel (Fry) Pibbles. Orrin graduated from Addison High School in 1943. He married Linda Mae Underhill on February 9, 1974 in Ann Arbor, Michigan and she survives. Orrin was a lifelong farmer, who enjoyed bowling, golfing, dancing, tinkering and playing cards. He was a life member of the Hillsdale Elks #1575 and attended the Rollin Baptist Church. Orrin and Linda enjoyed winters in Lake Wales, Florida. Orrin is survived by his wife, Linda, two sons, James (Diane) Pibbles of Manitou Beach and Jerrold (Barbara) Pibbles of Hudson, two daughters, Pamela (Bradley) Tomecek of Milan and Angela (Larry) Stewart of Traverse City, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one close cousin, Shirley Pinnell of Hudson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 21, 2013, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson with Pastor Terry Alverson officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hudson. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Chronic Disease Fund, Hospice of Lenawee or Rollin Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral Home.
