Raymond Clarence Raspino Sr. passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the age of 80. He was the beloved husband of the late Janice Berggren Raspino. Loving father of Raymond Raspino Jr., Kay Raspino Thomas (Greg), Amy Raspino, Paula Raspino Hux (the late Troy), Andrew Raspino (Lisa Barton), Franklin Raspino, Adam Raspino and the late Pamela Raspino and his dear infant Janice Theresa Raspino. Proud grandfather of Andrew Raspino Jr., Samuel Raspino, Olivia Hux, Dominick Thomas and Zachary Raspino. Son of the late Joseph Raspino and Cecilia Bono Raspino. Brother of Cecilia McCollum, Lucy Ruffino, Mary Prince and the late Joseph Jr., Louis, Tommy, Jude and Jerry Raspino.
Raymond was a longtime member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus; awarded the Order of St. Louis; a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake; an avid golfer, a great chef, and a known card shark among friends. He was well loved and will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal husband, father, brother, grandfather and a friend of many, who enjoyed a great sense of humor and treasured his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend an evening visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Sunday, November 18th from 6:00PM – 9:00PM.
Visitation will take place on Monday morning at Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church, 9701 Hammond St., New Orleans, LA from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 1:00PM.
Burial will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
