Dougherty, Robert Alan, 75, of Tampa, passed away January 23, 2013. Bob was raised in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Tampa in 1987. He was respected by many and known for his compassion, generosity, intelligence, and wit. He loved to travel and spent much of his spare time volunteering for causes for which he felt passionate. Bob was an attorney at law, most recently practicing at the law offices of O'Malley and Wolfe, P.A. He graduated from Princeton University in 1958 and received his law degree from Case Western Reserve University. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Dougherty; his four daughters ("The Girls"), Janet (John) Coriell, Jennifer Lee (Mark Johnson) Dougherty, Holly (Robbie) Riechers, and Heather Anne Dougherty; beloved stepson, Kyle Christensen; grandchildren, Amanda Marie Riechers, James Robert Riechers, Katie Coriell, Daniel Coriell, Douglas Duy Dougherty Johnson, Stephan (Samantha) Riechers, Mason Coriell, Benjamin Coriell; and brother, Daniel (Mary) Dougherty. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Anne Dougherty, and his sister, Dana Preston. Bob was a member of the American Bar Association and the United States Power Squadrons, and a volunteer at West Tampa Elementary School. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tampa Bay Estuary Program, Give a Day for the Bay, in memory of Robert Dougherty (www.tbep.org or 263 13th Avenue South, Suite 350, St. Petersburg, Florida, 33701).
