Rudy Gomez Garza, known as 'Dad' to his family and close friends, left this earth on Thursday Oct. 25, 2012. He left behind his loving wife of 41 years; 2 daughters; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Dad was a Vietnam Veteran and served his country for two years in the United States Army. He was born on Sept. 4, 1948 in San Antonio, TX and he moved from Texas to El Mirage, AZ when he was only 5 years old. Dad loved his motorcycles, one of his many passions. He was an all around funny guy, there was never a dull moment when you were with him. Dad will forever be in our hearts. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 from 6 to 9 pm at Sunwest Funeral Home, 12525 NW Grand Ave, El Mirage, AZ. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012 at 10 am, also at Sunwest Funeral Home. Graveside service with Military Honors will follow at Sunwest Cemetery.
