Ruth Buescher of Mesa , AZ, formerly of Columbia, Missouri passed away in Mesa, AZ on Tuesday morning December 4, 2012. Ruth was born in Columbia, Missouri to Walter and Juan Hulen on January 9, 1927. Ruth graduated from Hickman High School. In 1946, she married Jim Buescher and they had 1 son, Keith Buescher, who survives along with his wife, Wendy of Mesa, AZ. Ruth worked as a bookkeeper for McGlasson Construction for a number of years. After Jim's death in 1996, Ruth took over the job he was doing as the Missouri State Bowling Association Secretary. She was active in the Comos Pal Association for a number of years. She was Past Grand Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in Columbia , member of the Columbia Bowling Hall of Fame and a former member of Wilkes Boulevard United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing and knitting. In her younger years she was an avid bowler as was Jim. They both enjoyed going RV camping with their friends and going to bowling tournaments all over. She enjoyed her Granddaughter Kim Buescher Ross and her wife Heather Ross and her two great grandsons all of Sedalia, MO. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday December 10th at Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 – 2:00pm prior to the service. Ruth was a very caring person and would enjoy talking to her friends and family as much as she could.
