Terrell Herschel Smith, 84 of Walnut Ridge passed away January 6, 2013 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Born April 30, 1928 in Imboden, son of Thomas Hatcher and Helen Kell Smith. He served in the U.S. Navy and then was a Teacher, Principal and Superintendent; affiliated with Hoxie, Sloan Hendrix, Piggott, Rector and Biggers-Reyno Schools. He also attended the United Methodist Church and the Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his spouse, Betty Sue Nunally Smith; a sister, Eva Robert; and a brother, Gail Smith.
Survivors include a son, Terry and Debbie Smith of Imboden; three daughters, Sandra Ridenhower of Paragould, Helen Smith of Walnut Ridge and Suzanne and Chuck Jones of Conway; four grandchildren, Johnny Ridenhower, Carrie Bryson, April Morgan and Heather Briggs; three great grandchildren, Cody and Kaylee Bryson and Stormi Briggs; two brothers, Vernan Kell Smith of Wichita KS, and Beryl Smith of Dekalb, IL; and many other relatives and friends.
