Thomas Richard Nance, 63, of Searcy died Sunday, November 18, 2012.
He was born at Searcy April 19, 1949, the son of James Kyle and Betty Jean Smith Nance.
Thomas was a member of the College Church of Christ. He served four years with the US Marines in Viet Nam and retired as a Major from the US Army after a total of 26 years service. He then worked with Southwestern Bell, retiring after 30 years.
Surviving is his wife; Phyllis May Nance, a son; James Coe Nance and his wife Leigh and grandson James Coe Nance, Jr. of Jonesboro, sister; Stephanie Moore, her husband John of Tallahassee, Florida, and aunt; Franchelle Harrell of Newport. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Kimberly May Nance and brother; James "Jim" Nance II.
