Vincent James Vella Jr, 85, passed away January 7, 2013 in Orlando, FL. Born May 25, 1927 in Enfield, CT to Vincent James and Fortunata "Elena" (Trapanese) Vella. Mr. Vella was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during WWII. He served on the USS Leyte and continued to work for the Navy through the Civil Service Navy Training Systems Center in Orlando, FL and retired in June 1989. He was a member of the Italian American Club, The Eagles, the Elks and the Ventura Country Club. In his younger years, he was a Tennis player and a runner. Mr. Vella was a very good cook. His passion was Golf and he enjoyed Ballroom Dancing, Fishing and the beach. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Vella; four children, Elena, Robert and Dean Vella and Christine Monroe; grandchildren, Nicco and Nicole Vella; brothers, John and Salvatore and sister, Lillian.
