William "Bill" D. Thomas, 50, of Kansas City, MO, passed away February 2, 2013. A Celebration of Life will be at 2 pm Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at White Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 – 8 pm, Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the Funeral Home.
He was born in Kansas City, KS December 23, 1962. He attended Blessed Sacrament elementary and graduated from Bishop Ward in 1981. He attended Benedictine College and KU. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1983 and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 1987. He married his college sweetheart, Maria Riley, on July 25, 1987.
Bill enjoyed his career as an information specialist in the IT industry including Commerce Bank, HNTB, President and founder of GTC and most recently, with CA Technologies. His greatest loves were family, friends and fishin'.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Jr. and wife Patricia Thomas and his nephew Brian Hensley. Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Maria Thomas, 3 children Sydney, Mackenzie and Riley Thomas. Dad we will miss you every day. You were a great husband and father. 5 siblings, Jeff Thomas (Deborah) of Gladstone, MO, Mary Sue Snell (Bill) of Edwardsville, KS, Linda McMillan of Kansas City, MO, Sharon Riecker (Derek) of Fremont, NE, Dianne Williams (Jeff) of Gladstone, MO and his cousin Frannie Yurkovich.
