Memorial service for William Ernest "Bill" Travers, 81, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo.
Mr. Travers died Thursday, February 14, 2013. Born in Newark, New Jersey, he was the only child of the late William and Stella Muzzio Travers. He was the husband of Florence Mae Vance Travers. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Newark College of Engineering where he received his Bachelor's degree and earned his Master's degree from Stephens Institute of Technology. Mr. Travers retired from Fortune as an Executive Search Consultant.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Florence; son, Steven Parker and daughter-in-law, Patricia, of Lewisberry, PA.
In lieu of flowers, a Mass card would be appreciated.
