I was 9 yrs old when grandpa died, I still remember the day he got sick just before he passed. I happened to be at grandpa and grandma's house that day. I used to spend the night with them all the time. The day he got sick we had been out to slop the hogs. I was 9 yrs old when grandpa died, I still remember the day he got sick just before he passed. I happened to be at grandpa and grandma's house that day. I used to spend the night with them all the time. The day he got sick we had been out to slop the hogs. He had a 5 gal bucket full of feed and slop and he told me to grab that bucket and bring it. i grabbed it but was unable to carry it . He saw me struggling with it and I said I can't carry it grandpa. He grabbed the handle and said I will give you a hand and one day you will be able to carry it for grandpa. I never forgot because we got back in the house and he had to lay down. He told grandma he was tired and going to rest. He never recovered from that but I never forgot that last day I spent with him. My grandma called him Mr Logan because she so much younger than him I reckon. His name was William Logan Boswell.
